Funder Webinar in Defense of Movement: An Assessment on the Supreme Court’s Decision to End Affirmative Action
Friday September 15, 2023

Description: This summer, the Supreme Court ruled that the affirmative action plans of Harvard College and University of North Carolina Chapel Hill violate the Equal Protection Clause. This attempted gutting of Affirmative Action has significant implications on higher education and beyond. Already, opponents of affirmative action are working to leverage this decision to impact broader efforts to advance social justice in the U.S. and Global South. We know that this is just one in a series of attacks from an opposition committed to rolling back decades of progress made by racial and gender justice movements.
On September 15th, you’re invited to a conversation for philanthropic leaders to discuss the potential impacts of this decision on our collective work, and the opportunities to mobilize and stand in solidarity with our movement partners. The conversation will feature Black feminist legal and movement leaders who will provide their assessment and opportunities for philanthropic action. Will you join us?
