The Ingoma Foundation mission is to create and implement models of sustainable community development targeting economically distressed citizens and neighborhoods. Our Youth Unlocked project seeks to reduce the arrest rates of black youth in a target community, and will be scaled to function city-wide once the model has been proven. Strategies include prevention of delinquency through positive youth engagement and community organization; intervention through collaboration between police, youth and the community, and police and youth training; and reduction of secure detention through development and support for arrest and detention alternatives. ingomafoundation.com
