Third Wave Fund's new Mobilize Power Fund is now accepting proposals! This fund supports urgent organizing, activism, and mobilization led by young women of color, queer, and transgender youth around the country who lead movements for justice and take on this country's most challenging issues.
This fundraiser will provide small organizing and campaign grants to Million Hoodies chapters at various campuses and communities. Our chapters are led by those most impacted by mass criminalization and violence who are building campaigns, pushing policy, and shifting culture.
The demonstrations and uprising did not emerge in a vacuum. We believe that it is critical to convene Black racial justice leaders to enter into dialogue about how best to ensure that we build upon the opportunities presented by this strategic opening.
The Transgender, Gender Variant and Intersex Justice Project (TGIJP), based in San Francisco, has been spearheading the efforts to mobilize resources to support a national delegation of 16 black trans, gender non-conforming and intersex leaders to be able to attend this historical national convening and hold a one day work meeting previous to the convening.
